MUSIC

The Caller will supply his own Recorded Music using a sound system or alternatively at extra cost a Live Band may be used depending on your budget.

The type of music depends on the THEME and could be any of the following Options which are available to you--

BARN DANCE/ HOE DOWN/ CEILIDH--A mixture of English, Scottish, Irish and American tunes.

SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING --a selection of recorded  Scottish tunes.    

WESTERN EVENING--This varies but can be American style tunes for Square and Barn Dancing plus sometimes Country and Western Music--Live Bands can be hired if  your budget allows.

LINE DANCE EVENING---Generally  American Country and Western tunes are used.

Whichever THEME you are using for your EVENT  the Caller will guide you and your guests--

 BARN DANCES, HOE DOWNS, CEILIDH and some WESTERN EVENINGS  use Partner Dances with movements and patterns which ensure your guests join in because they are simple to understand producing FUN immediately, progressing later in the evening to slightly more involved  Dances but not too difficult for everyone to enjoy.

SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING uses Partner Dances,  whilst often more complicated and containing  movements which may need practising  it can be instructed and Danced immediately using the simpler Scottish Dances. 

LINE DANCING can be used during a WESTERN EVENING or held as an event on its own.

LINE DANCING  is usually in straight lines without partners and needs instruction from the experienced CALLER/INSTRUCTOR.
